I'm sure most of you know that we bought a foreclosed home--built in 1968--with the hopes of fixing it up (as we live in it). The progress has been much slower than we expected. The ice storm put us REALLY far behind, and the drop down to one income hasn't allowed us to do as much as we would like. There are many more things we hope to do in the next year (new wall mounted flat screen tv so we can get rid of our entertainment center, redo the kitchen counter tops, update our dining room table, more decorating, etc), but we're taking things one project at a time. Here are some pictures of what we've done so far in the main living areas. Check here to see what we started with.

Kitchen (with some pretty dated counters)
(through the doorway there is a pantry, then the bathroom and laundry room)
Our next BIG project is our basement! I cannot wait to get it finished, but I know it's going to take awhile.
Here are some pictures of the kids from this week...

Your house looks great to me girl!!!
Wow, Looks great!!! Love your window treatments! And they look so cute in the pics!
I think your house looks great! Your babies are precious, as always!
The house looks wonderful, Brittney! I know you are so proud of all the work you two have done!
Love the entertainment center, my parents have one exactly like that and the art on the wall next to the fireplace is exactly the art hanging on the walls at the breast center! We have people asking all the time where we got all the art and most ask about those! Cracks me up!
I saw your mil Mon and talked to her for a little while, she seems to be doing great. She showed me pics of all her grandkids and she was so proud of them!
I am laughing because I thought your house looked so big in the pictures:) I can wait to have a house! I have two years left. So until then I am going to live vicariously through you, okay?
Love the "hit the trail" shirt! It makes me laugh!
Hi! I found you through another blog and was really curious about how you could lose your job after maternity leave - what about FMLA? I don't mean to be too personal, but I am about to go back to work after maternity leave and am really nervous about them eliminating my position. I know they have to hold your job for you for 12 weeks, but can they really just let you go right after you come back? That doesn't seem right. You can email me at
dreyer.becky@gmail.com. Thanks!
